Bike path Drau Dobbiaco-Lienz
The famous bike path takes you along the river Drau all the way to the picturesque town of Lienz. Der path is slightly downhill and is ideal for the whole family. In Lienz you can relax at the swimming pool, stroll through town, visit the wildlife park of Assling or visit the Galitzenklamm gorge.

Difference in elevation: from 1242 m down to 672 m
Tip: to come back you can take the train.
In case you decide to ride back you should be aware that the bike path is very busy and that the return before 3 pm is not recommended.

Bike path Val Pusteria – from Dobbiaco to Brunico
You can ride along the well signposted bike path to the charming town of Brunico. The path leads slightly downhill, only from the end of the dam of Monguelfo to Valdaora di Sopra it is slightly uphill. In Brunico you can visit the picturesque old town and stroll through the small streets, visit the folklore museum in Teodone, the famous Messner Mountain Museum Ripa in the castle of Brunico or step back in time visiting the roman settling “Sebatum” in San Lorenzo.

Difference in elevation: from 1242 m down to 435 m
Difficulty level: easy
Tip: to come back you can either take the train or ride back by bike.
Bike path Dobbiaco-Cortina
Ride along the old train tracks that take you through the beautiful Val di Landro to the lakes of Dobbiaco and Vallandro until you get to Cortina d’Ampezzo, the charming town amidst the beauty of the Dolomites. Cortina hosted the Olympic Winter Games in 1956. Enjoy the view to the majestic peaks of the Tre Cime, the Monte Cristallo and of the Croda Rossa d’Ampezzo make this bike ride unique.

Difference in elevation: 340 m uphill, 331 m downhill
Difficulty level: medium
Tip: you can return by bike or by bus; a little extra will be charged for the transport of your bike.
Bike tour Dobbiaco-Lago di Braies
The romantic bike ride from Dobbiaco to the lake of Braies takes you through a peaceful forest, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Dolomites. At the picturesque lake you can rest and enjoy a relaxing boat ride or walk around the lake.

Difficulty level: medium

You can rent a bike directly at the hotel or at one of the rental shops in Dobbiaco. You can do all the tours by yourself or with a professional bike guide. The guide will organise everything including the return (with private van or public transport), get entry tickets to different sights and will explain you the sights along the tour. In case of need your bike will be repaired or you will receive a rental bike.

The greatest bike event in Val Pusteria: The Dolomiti Superbike
Every year in July many mountain bikers meet in Alta Pusteria to compete in one of the most challenging competitions in the Dolomites: the Dolomiti Superbike in Villabassa.
The routes feature 3 different distances:
- Long Distance: 111 km/ 3000 elevation difference
- Middle Distance: 59 km/ 1500 elevation difference
- Short Distance: 25 km/ 800 elevation difference
Start and finish are in Villabassa. The Dolomiti Superbike also features a competition for younger athletes between 7 and 14: the Superbike Junior. A varied events program attracts also many other people. In the evening you can enjoy some good live music at the big event tent.
