Alta Pusteria offers many fun activities:
- Tobogganing: this is one of the most loved winter sports activities in Alta Pusteria. You can walk up to the top of the hill or comfortably take a skilift and enjoy a fun and thrilling ride down to the village. Helmet is compulsory for children up to 14 years of age!
- Ice skating: The most beautiful ice skating rinks are situated in Dobbiaco, San Candido, Sesto and Villabassa.

- Ice stick shooting: this fun activity is suitable for men as well for women. You can practice it at the lake of Dobbiaco, in Villabassa and in Sesto.
- Horse-drawn carriage: Enjoy a romantic horse-drawn carriage tour amidst the wonderful winter landscape from Sesto to the Val Fiscalina and from Dobbiaco to the lake of Dobbiaco.
- Climbing: You can find indoor climbing facilities in Sesto and Dobbiaco.
- Swimming: Erlebnisbad Acquafun is a great adventure pool in San Candido. The saunas are the right place to relax and pamper yourself. Our guests will receive a free entrance to the swimming pool and a discount for the sauna. (please note: on Wednesday only ladies sauna).
- Mountain huts: Take the skilift up to one of the cosy mountain huts and enjoy a lovely evening with friends. And then you can descent back to the valley by toboggan or ski-doo.
- Torch light walk: join Alexander on a beautiful evening walk to the chapel of Lerschach. To warm up we offer you mulled wine and hot tea!
- Christmas markets: The lovely wooden huts offer typical Christmas products from South Tyrol. Not only children will love all the lights and the warm atmosphere. Here you can find a small present or a souvenir to take home to your loved ones. The Christmas markets are open throughout December in San Candido, Braies, Brunico, Bressanone, Bolzano, Merano and Lienz (Austria).

Tips for families:
- Children’s lifts and family skiing areas: The ski area Braies offers easy runs, ideal for the whole family. The ski centre Rienza in Dobbiaco and the skilift Waldheim in Sesto are also a good spot. The Baranci in San Candido offers a kids ski cross run and a snow tubing run (a cool run with special tyres).
- Rudi Reindeer track at the Croda Rossa in Sesto: An educational skiing track to admire the big wooden Rudi reindeer. 1,5 km from the Signaue runs towards Sesto Moso.
- Reindeer: admire the smallest reindeer herd of the Alps and the only one in Italy at the Croda Rossa in Sesto. Enjoy a romantic sledge ride drawn by the reindeer. Every Thursday: reindeer feeding.
