Ski touring in Alta Pusteria – on quiet tracks trough untouched nature

Enjoy the most beautiful landscape of the Dolomites. The majestic peaks of the Dolomites are covered with snow and when the snow and weather conditions are good there is no better place to go on a ski tour or a snowshoe excursion. You will be amazed by the stunning view of the most famous mountains of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Amidst the towering peaks in the silence of the nature just a small track behind you…slowly walking up the mountain, feeling the peace and silence of nature. At the top you will be rewarded by breathtaking scenery before enjoying the wonderful descent through immaculate powder.

Our tour suggestions:

From Prato Piazza to the Picco di Vallandro (Dürrenstein)

The ski touring or snowshoe excursion on the Picco di Vallandro is one of the most popular tours in Alta Pusteria. You will have a stunning view of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the mountains nearby. After the tour you can relax and taste a delicious piece of apple strudel at Prato Piazza.

Corno di Fana / Toblacher Pfannhorn

The ski touring excursion to the Corno di Fana starts from the Seiterhof over Dobbiaco and takes you along a beautiful forestry road to the Bonner hut. Cross the creek and turn left (usually you find tracks) and follow the track, passing a small, closed mountain hut. From here many peaks can be conquered. The Corno di Fana is on the right side. Following the tracks in the snow you will get to the peak. You can descent along the same route or ski towards the Bonner hut. If you prefer you can also climb up from the Bonner hut but the other ascent is more beautiful. Many itineraries lead to this peak. You can also reach it starting from the Villgratental in Austria.
